Jalupro Young Eye is the member of the Jalupro family formulated for the eye area: hyaluronic acid, an amino acid cluster and peptides. Its purpose is to support and hydrate the thin skin around the eyes and to soften the appearance of dark circles. It is not a filler; it does not add volume and does not fill an under-eye hollow. I work with products in this class that have traceability and a certificate of analysis.

Why does the eye area need its own product?
The eye area has the thinnest skin on the face; its vascular network is dense and it is prone to retaining water. The manufacturer states that Young Eye’s formula is adjusted for this area: HA, amino acids and peptides reported to support microcirculation. The effect of amino-acid-enriched HA on skin thickness and wrinkle severity has been reported in a class-level meta-analysis; the authors note that the findings need to be confirmed in larger prospective studies 1. Independent eye-specific data are still limited.
First, the cause: why do dark circles occur?
Darkness under the eyes has no single cause, and mesotherapy answers only part of it:
- Thin skin and visible vessels: as the skin thins, the vascular network beneath shows through with a purplish tone. This is mesotherapy’s target.
- Pigmentation: darkness related to skin tone or sun. Mesotherapy contributes little.
- Hollowing (shadow): the shadow that forms as under-eye fat and bony support decrease with age. Mesotherapy does not fill a hollow; I do not recommend it to this patient, and we discuss under-eye light filler instead.
- Internal causes: iron deficiency, low B12 and folate, thyroid function, sleep and allergies. For a patient presenting with dark circles I ask for blood tests first; if the cause is internal, we correct it before injecting. This is an order I do not depart from, in line with a functional medicine perspective.
Around the eyes the decision depends on the cause: if hollowing dominates, mesotherapy is not enough and filler is discussed; if thin skin, dark circles and mild puffiness dominate, HA–amino acid biorevitalisers or polynucleotide products come forward. The product is chosen at the consultation.

Who is it for?
- Thin, “paper-like” under-eye skin with visible vessels
- Dark circles with a circulatory, purplish tone
- Mild morning puffiness
- Fine lines around the eyes
- Patients who do not want filler or for whom filler is not suitable
Session plan and expected course
- 2–3 sessions, 3 weeks apart. Hydration and brightening after the first session; tightening and colour change become clearer after the second.
- The effect lasts about 6 months; maintenance is a single session every 6 months.
Procedure and pain management
The procedure takes 15–20 minutes, with a very fine needle or a cannula.
Topical anaesthetic cream is standard. Because I am an anaesthesiologist, I treat pain management as a separate part of the procedure. The eye area is sensitive; the sensation stays at mild pricking and is well tolerated.
Aftercare
First 24 hours
- No make-up on the treated area
- No hot showers, sauna, hammam or steam
- Avoid heavy exercise
- No alcohol
- Do not sleep face-down (facial treatments)
- Do not touch the injection points; do not squeeze or massage the bumps
First 48 hours
- Avoid direct and prolonged sun exposure
- No facial massage, skincare treatments or energy-based device treatments
Expected findings Small bumps (papules) at the injection points lasting 12–24 hours are expected and show that the product has settled in the skin. Mild swelling, tenderness or bruising lasting a few days may occur. Around the eyes, bruising is slightly more likely than on the rest of the face.
For the eye area, in addition: no eye make-up for the first 24 hours; contact lenses are not restricted.
Safety and anatomy
Young Eye contains non-cross-linked HA and can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if ever needed. The vascular network around the eyes is dense; a fine needle or cannula lowers the chance of bruising but does not remove it. Bumps lasting 12–24 hours and mild swelling can occur at the injection points.
Because allergic reactions can occur rarely, treatments are carried out under medical supervision.
Product and regulatory status: Jalupro Young Eye has been assessed under CE and TİTCK frameworks for its relevant indications. Approval belongs to the product and to a specific indication, not to a technique or to a physician.
Who is not suitable
Treatment is not performed, or is postponed, in the following situations:
- Active infection or inflammation in the treatment area
- Autoimmune disease in an active phase
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Known hypersensitivity to the product components
- Uncontrolled chronic illness
- Untreated bleeding disorder or unregulated anticoagulant use
Without being a medical contraindication, I also consider expectation and treatment to be mismatched in these situations:
- People with under-eye hollowing — mesotherapy does not fill a hollow
- People with marked bags due to fat herniation
- People whose internal cause of dark circles has not yet been corrected
In these situations I address the cause first; I plan the injection only if the problem is in the group that mesotherapy answers.

Frequently asked questions
How does Jalupro Young Eye differ from tear-trough filler?
Tear-trough filler uses cross-linked HA to fill the under-eye hollow; it adds volume. Young Eye uses non-cross-linked HA, amino acids and peptides to improve the quality of the under-eye skin; it adds no volume. If the problem is a hollow, filler comes forward; if it is thin skin and dark circles, mesotherapy. They are not alternatives to each other but answers to different problems.
Will Jalupro Young Eye remove dark circles completely?
No. It softens the purplish look caused by thin skin and circulation. Its contribution to pigment-related darkness is limited, and it does not change a hollow-related shadow. If there is an internal cause, a lasting result is not expected until it is corrected.
Why do you ask for blood tests before under-eye mesotherapy?
Internal causes of dark circles can include iron deficiency, low B12 and folate, and thyroid dysfunction. If the cause is internal, injection is only temporary masking. So: tests first, correction if needed, then injection.
Does Jalupro Young Eye help with under-eye bags?
It can support mild, fluid-related puffiness. Marked bags due to fat herniation do not improve with mesotherapy; that calls for a different assessment.
Planning your visit
My clinic is in Nişantaşı, Şişli, on the European side of Istanbul, approximately 45 minutes from Istanbul Airport.
For a Jalupro Young Eye treatment I suggest planning a stay of two to three days: arrival, consultation and treatment, and departure. Because this treatment is planned as two to three sessions three weeks apart, it requires more than one visit. The first session takes place in Istanbul, and we plan the schedule of the following sessions together according to your travel arrangements, with remote follow-up in between. Flying is generally appropriate 24 hours after an injectable treatment.
Consultations are conducted in English. Follow-up after you return home is arranged remotely, and I remain reachable for any questions during the period in which the result develops.
