Jalupro is a product family that combines amino acids with hyaluronic acid; the family includes biorevitalisation and bioremodelling forms. The logic: collagen is a protein, proteins are built from amino acids, and according to the manufacturer the fibroblasts in the dermis have less access to this raw material with age. Jalupro does not give the skin collagen; it delivers the amino acids needed for collagen production, plus HA for hydration, directly into the dermis. A meta-analysis of amino-acid-enriched HA products reports improvement in wrinkle severity and dermal thickness in this class; the authors note that the findings need to be confirmed in larger prospective studies 1. I work with products in this class that have traceability and a certificate of analysis.
There are four forms in the family. I cover three on this page; the eye-area form, Jalupro Young Eye, has its own page. The general frame of mesotherapy and the comparison of product families are on the mesotherapy page.
The Jalupro family: which form for what?
| Form | Composition | Class | Target |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jalupro Classic | Amino acid cluster + low-molecular-weight HA | Biorevitalisation | Early changes in thin skin, dullness, repair support after pigment treatments, back of the hands when deep hydration is not needed |
| Jalupro HMW | Amino acid cluster + high-molecular-weight HA | Biorevitalisation | Dry and mature skin, deep hydration, neck and décolletage, back of the hands when deep hydration is needed |
| Jalupro Super Hydro | High- and low-molecular-weight HA + 7 amino acids + 3 peptides 2 | Bioremodelling | Connective tissue beneath the dermis (retinacular cutis); mild–moderate laxity |
| Jalupro Young Eye | HA + amino acids + peptides, eye-area formula | Biorevitalisation | Thin skin and dark circles around the eyes — on its own page |
I decide which form to use at the consultation, based on what the skin needs. There is no ranking between the forms.
The difference between Classic and HMW
Both contain the same amino acid cluster; the difference is the molecular weight of the HA. Low-molecular-weight HA is more fluid and spreads quickly through the dermis, so Classic is used in thin-skinned areas and for surface-quality concerns. High-molecular-weight HA is more viscous and holds water longer, so HMW comes forward in dry, mature skin and in areas such as the neck and décolletage where dryness is pronounced. I explain how the method is chosen for the neck and décolletage on the neck and décolletage rejuvenation page.
Classic is fluid and comfortable to inject; HMW is denser and may give a slight sensation of fullness. Both are applied with diffuse micro-injections across the face.
Super Hydro: for the connective tissue
Super Hydro is known colloquially as “V-Lift”; it is the same product. It differs from the other two forms in two ways: the formula contains peptides in addition to the amino acids, and the target layer is not the dermis but the retinacular cutis and superficial connective tissue that anchor the dermis to the tissue beneath.
For this reason it is not spread across the face but, following the manufacturer’s scheme, placed as boluses at 6 points on each half of the face, plus 1 additional point in the chin area if needed (6+1 points). In a single-centre observational study without a control group, 28 women received four monthly treatments; increases in skin hydration, elasticity and ultrasound-measured dermal and subdermal collagen density were reported, and the findings were still present at day 120 2. Reference 2 is linked to the manufacturer of a product family mentioned on this page.
The right expectation is “tightening and support”. It does not sharpen the jawline or lift the face mechanically; in visible sagging it does not replace a thread lift or surgical assessment.
Which form for whom?
- Dull skin, early fine lines, elasticity still good: the biorevitalisation forms (Classic or HMW)
- Dry skin, pronounced neck and décolletage dryness: HMW comes forward
- Mild laxity of the facial oval, no desire for volume: Super Hydro is considered
- Eye-area concerns: Young Eye, on its own page
I do not routinely bundle Classic/HMW with Super Hydro in the same session. If one form meets the need, I do not add the second; if there is a need in both layers, we plan them in sequence.
Session plan and expected course
- Classic / HMW: 2–3 sessions, 3 weeks apart. Hydration and glow after the first session; the collagen effect as the course completes.
- Super Hydro: 2 sessions, 1 month apart. Tightening develops as the sessions progress. The study used four sessions; my standard plan is two sessions, and I decide on any further session according to the tissue response.
- Maintenance is a single session every 6 months; this interval is a guide, and I plan maintenance as the change in the skin fades.
Procedure and pain management
The procedure takes 15–20 minutes.
Topical anaesthetic cream is standard. Because I am an anaesthesiologist, I treat pain management as a separate part of the procedure. Micro-injections cause mild pricking; the deep-point placement of Super Hydro a brief pressure sensation. Both are well tolerated.
Aftercare
First 24 hours
- No make-up on the treated area
- No hot showers, sauna, hammam or steam
- Avoid heavy exercise
- No alcohol
- Do not sleep face-down (facial treatments)
- Do not touch the injection points; do not squeeze or massage the bumps
First 48 hours
- Avoid direct and prolonged sun exposure
- No facial massage, skincare treatments or energy-based device treatments
Expected findings Small bumps (papules) at the injection points lasting 12–24 hours are expected and show that the product has settled in the skin. Mild swelling, tenderness or bruising lasting a few days may occur. Around the eyes, bruising is slightly more likely than on the rest of the face.
Safety and anatomy
Jalupro forms contain non-cross-linked HA and can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if ever needed. Small bumps and mild bruising can follow micro-injection. For Super Hydro the injection points are chosen according to the course of nerves and vessels.
Because allergic reactions can occur rarely, treatments are carried out under medical supervision.
Product and regulatory status: Jalupro forms have been assessed under CE and TİTCK frameworks for their relevant indications. Approval belongs to the product and to a specific indication, not to a technique or to a physician.
Who is not suitable
Treatment is not performed, or is postponed, in the following situations:
- Active infection or inflammation in the treatment area
- Autoimmune disease in an active phase
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Known hypersensitivity to the product components
- Uncontrolled chronic illness
- Untreated bleeding disorder or unregulated anticoagulant use
Without being a medical contraindication, I also consider expectation and treatment to be mismatched in these situations:
- People expecting a marked and immediate change from a single session
- People whose actual need is volume — Jalupro does not add volume, and filler is assessed
- People with advanced tissue laxity who require surgical assessment — no form, Super Hydro included, replaces a thread lift or surgery
Suitability is determined by consultation in every case.
Pricing
Under the applicable regulations, price information cannot be published on our website. The cost of a treatment depends on the product used, the technique chosen and the extent of the treatment. You can call the clinic for detailed information.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Jalupro Classic and HMW?
Both contain the same amino acid cluster; the difference is the molecular weight of the HA. Classic contains low-molecular-weight HA, is fluid, and is used in thin-skinned areas and for surface quality. HMW contains high-molecular-weight HA, holds water longer, and comes forward in dry, mature skin and on the neck and décolletage.
What is Jalupro Super Hydro (V-Lift)?
Super Hydro is the form that contains peptides in addition to HA and amino acids and targets the connective tissue beneath the dermis; it is known colloquially as “V-Lift”. It is placed as boluses at 6+1 points rather than across the face. It provides tightening support in mild to moderate laxity; it does not lift the face mechanically.
What is the 6+1-point technique?
The application scheme defined by the manufacturer for Super Hydro. Boluses are placed at 6 points on each half of the face where the superficial connective tissue lies, plus 1 additional point in the chin area if needed. It means fewer needle entries and a targeted procedure.
Can Jalupro be combined with pigmentation treatment?
Jalupro is not a pigmentation treatment. After treatments such as laser or peeling, the Classic form in particular can be planned as a support to skin repair. I decide based on the type of pigmentation treatment and the condition of the skin.
Planning your visit
My clinic is in Nişantaşı, Şişli, on the European side of Istanbul, approximately 45 minutes from Istanbul Airport.
For a Jalupro treatment I suggest planning a stay of two to three days: arrival, consultation and treatment, and departure. Because both Jalupro protocols are planned as more than one session, they require more than one visit. The first session takes place in Istanbul, and we plan the schedule of the following sessions together according to your travel arrangements, with remote follow-up in between. Flying is generally appropriate 24 hours after an injectable treatment.
Consultations are conducted in English. Follow-up after you return home is arranged remotely, and I remain reachable for any questions during the period in which the result develops.
